STEP 13: Chasing the Metal

As was done in the Wax process, the bronze must also be chased. Small pits that may have formed are filled and excess metal ground off. Weld lines are sanded down and the original artistry is added back in to blend with the rest of the sculpture. Once finished, the completed bronze sculpture is prepared for patina by sandblasting of the surface.
